Working in a school that doesn't receive Title funding means that if I want all the tools there are to make my kiddos successful I need to go out there and get it, so that's what I'm asking for from Ðǿմ«Ã½.org. I have a lot of students with ADHD diagnoses as well as others who just have trouble sitting still and focusing (they are only first graders after all). Wiggle seats and bouncy bands would allow them to move around but still get their work done. They're great tools for getting out some energy while still seated and completing their task. Timers are another great tools for students with ADHD using them as a "beat the clock" in order to help get their work done. "If you get five problems done before the timer is up you get a jellybean. Ready. Set. Go"
