My class is lucky enough to get to use Mystery Science, a website dedicated to helping keep kids curious. The website guides students through some amazing inquiries. It gets students thinking and asking their own questions about the world and how it works. For my students to fully engage with the website and make the most of these inquiry lessons, they need these supplies to complete the hands-on portion of these investigations.
These supplies will help the students investigate different situations through hands-on experiments. With these supplies students will investigate the power of water and erosion, animal biodiversity, plant adaptations, and the phases and properties of matter. One experiment students can complete with these supplies is they will build hills out of cornmeal and will use some of these supplies to problem solve the best ways to protect their hills from water erosion.
