My students are recent immigrants to the city of Boston. Our school is a diverse community, with students representing some 40 countries and speaking over 25 languages. My students have diverse needs and interests, they are caregivers, artists, baseball players, English learners, writers and so much more. Many students reflect challenges facing Boston's larger immigrant community, including poverty.
