By expanding my classroom library I will be able to offer further opportunities for my students to discover the passion for reading that lies within each and everyone of them. Having current titles that students can relate to and get excited about is key to igniting a life long passion for reading. Having more title and genre options for students to explore will not only make them a better reader but also a better writer. Igniting the passion for reading and writing, providing an escape to a secure and safe place and providing hope for a better future is what a new classroom library will do for my students. My hope for a new classroom library is that students will read a wider variety of books and be able to connect with each other on levels they had not been able to before all because they are reading and talking about books.

About my class
