As a first grade teacher, I cannot express how important and necessary it is for kids to have the opportunity to move around the classroom versus always sitting at their desks. My students love to complete individual and partner work around the room. Since I do not have enough clipboards, most of my students have to grab a book to bare down on so they can complete tasks that involve writing. If this project is funded, my students would be able to move around the room as they write and use our classroom word wall and other print they may need to complete their assignments. By a donor choosing to fund this project (clipboards and comfortable seating), my students can successfully move, learn, and grow more easily.
