Students will need playdough, sensory dough, dough learning mats, play dough accessories and fingerpaint. These materials will allow students to use their imaginations while building fine motor skills. It will also help with counting and quantifying. During free choice centers, students will use paints, tissue paper and felt to run wild with their creativity. Students' choice of materials will be enhanced therefore their imagination can run wild. These skills are truly important for young children as they learn through hands on activities. Students look forward to using arts and craft materials daily and take ownership of their projects as they display their creations in the classroom.
