I teach a classroom of about 20 kindergarteners who come from a multitude of backgrounds. My students and my school community are a wonderfully diverse group.
While it is true that we are Title I school with many students living at or below the poverty level (about 50%), more than 30% of our students are English Language Learners and 14% identified with special needs.
I am honored to work in the first Leader in Me school in Wisconsin where we encourage each student to develop personal leadership by using the 7 Habits. From 4K - 5th grade, our students and staff are AMAZING!
