Every day I get to help student artists transform their unique ideas into art. My classroom is a safe place where students grow their ideas with peer feedback, learn about and discuss artists past and present, hear multiple perspectives from their classmates, and learn that problems can have more than one solution. Developing a classroom community that is comfortable and accepting of everyone is important to me. I encourage my students to be curious and experimental and I ask my students to reflect often on their problem-solving approaches, ideas, and their own art-making process.
