My students are fourth graders in a Title 1 school in Tennessee. I teach 52 students Literacy and Social Studies. Our school is 75% economically disadvantaged. The racial make-up is 18% African American, 20% Hispanic, 5% Asian, and 58% White. Our suspensions are well below the state average. It is a small school, averaging less than 300 students, so therefore the Title 1 money we do get is minimal.
