Many of my students have goals to read faster, at a higher level, and understand more of what they read. These books will give them resources to practice with! Reading is hard for us, so the more we have positive interactions with books, the more comfortable we get with reading. The social skills book will be invaluable to my friends to struggle to form and maintain relationships as we work on being better people together. We learn school survival skills, communication skills, self-monitoring, self-care and daily-living, and lots of other skills! These skills don't often come in a curriculum, and this structured book will help us learn functional skills more efficiently.
