Our fifth grade class is full of bright thinkers with huge hearts. We are eager to build a strong learning community rooted in both our similarities and differences. Help us see parts of ourselves in stories and learn about new perspectives through book clubs!
Books can be a unique place where students can find community not only with their peers, but also with the characters inside their books. We want to build a diverse book club library that represents many different perspectives to allow students to grow in their appreciation for both their own and others' unique stories.
Our class would use these book collections for book clubs where students explore different stories in small peer groups.
