Coming from an area that has a high Hispanic population, many of my students would greatly benefit from being able to listen to the stories being read to them. Headphones would be a way for this to happen.
In many of the computer programs we use, the students are able to highlight words and the computer will read it to them. But in a classroom setting, where all the students are on the computer at the same time, this is not feasible. Headphones would allow this to happen more effectively. Students would be able to read independently and only highlight the words when they need help.
