My 7th Grade Social Studies class is working with the Jewish Museum of Maryland to make films about their personal stories. With the help of professional storytellers and filmmakers, each student will be be creating a film about a personal story. The story will be filmed and edited using I Movie.
Having three iPads solely dedicated to my classroom will allow my students to work on this project daily. Our school is a Title I Community School and has very few technological resources. We have one iPad cart for the entire school of students, PK- Grade 8. Additionally, most of our students do not have their own personal iPhones or iPads.
The iPads will be used to both film and edit the stories of my students. Once they have completed their films, they will share them with one another, our school community, and the entire city of Baltimore.
