"The mission of our is to accomplish excellence and equity in education for our diverse population by ensuring that we will provide each student with a positive attitude toward the self and learning. Our school will prepare students to think creatively and critically, to communicate effectively via oral and written means, to welcome diversity in people, to appreciate the arts and to contribute positively to society."
Our school serves students from grades K-8. The student population is 93% Latino and more than 90% are from low-income homes. That doesn't keep our students from being eager to learn and excited to come to school.
I teach first and second grade special ed students in both the monolingual and bilingual classrooms. In my classroom, I focus on what my students can do, and not what they can't. Our classroom motto is: "Somos un equipo!" "We are a team!"
