Hurricane Harvey was four months ago, but for my students the effects are everywhere. I have a high population of displaced students still, as well as students who do not have access to internet at home. Hurricane Harvey has taken so much from my kids, I am on a mission to start giving them more opportunities in spite of this storm.
Moving forward, it is important to give these students a sense of normalcy post Harvey. This means providing them opportunities to learn online inside the classroom so that they can gain skills necessary to access to typing, and writing.
This charging cart will provide my students access to charged tablets ready to go every day in class. Charging right now is very difficult. We need to provide my students the opportunity to use their electronics in classroom settings. This will help me to differentiate my classroom and incorporate interactive stations.
