My students love attending our STEM-based high school where our mission is "Work daily to change the mindset of who we are and what we can be." This school year, I will be providing an environment for students to creatively practice the STEM engineering design process with an emphasis on utilizing innovative technology resources while staying true to our mission.
My students deserve and would benefit from having exposure to unique experiences beyond the typical urban public school day.
During this current COVID-19 Pandemic, my students spent the second half of second semester distant learning in an area where the majority of the households are considered low income. Nevertheless, they approach each day, eager to learn academic and social skills to become college and career ready! Their desire to be distinguished scholars truly inspires me to be a better educator and advocate for children.
