My 5th grade students live in a poverty stricken city within the state of Pennsylvania. There are many outside circumstances that hold them back from being all they can be! They sometimes don't see the potential that they have and it is my job to show it to them. They are fun and have great personalities! Their senses of humor and willingness to try things, even though they may not want to, are what keep me coming back every day. They put on brave faces every day despite the fact that, for some of them, school is the best part of their day. It's where they feel safe and where they WANT to be.
