Our school is located within a neighborhood that is notorious for gang activity, and for this reason our students wear uniforms to prevent them from being wrongfully identified. Our school is comprised of low-income, minority students who are at a drastic disadvantage, but still strive to succeed and are intent on graduating. Many of the students do not have the technological means at home to complete assignments, research, or projects, and therefore turn to school for resources that are limited even within the school.
