The supplies I'm requesting will be used in the classroom to benefit my math kiddos to see math is more than just worksheets. It's interactive and colorful. It's long lasting and impactful and can change for every person.
Math is more than memorization - it's conceptual, personal, and beautiful.
The cardstock and colored paper would be used for their notebooks, for their craft project we work on in class, for continuing to manipulate math into a pattern that makes sense to them.
The Expo markers would be used so every students gets a chance to erase and start over and so I can gauge who knows what and re-teach as necessary. It brings a little extra pizazz into class and gives them a quick way to check on their knowledge.
The laminating sheets and sheet protectors are to make the materials last longer and benefit more than one group of students!
I want my students to love math as I do, to come into my class with long lasting supplies, a love of learning, and a chance to own their learning.
