Though I teach within a Title I school, my students are just as important as those in which technology can be provided in every classroom. My students will use the Chromebooks on a daily basis to improve their basic skills typing skills, navigating the Internet, researching credible sources to gain knowledge, and utilize appropriate academic conversation through e-mail. They will also be taught more advanced skills such as using Google Classroom, document sharing, and threaded discussions. This technology would provide extended differentiation in all subjects through resources such as Pear Deck, Voki, Khan Academy, Moby Max, EdPuzzle, OpenEd and more. Through this technology, students will collaboratively work to solve problems, research and answer questions, dive deeper into content areas, and pursue independent projects. Using the Chromebooks, the students could research scientific news and keep up with new discoveries; the possibilities are endless! By joining in to provide this technology for my classroom, you are providing endless opportunities to my students. It is only through your generous funding, will my students have access to the necessary resources that 21st Century citizens must not only be aware of, but also excel at. This technology will allow students to explore topics that interest them, develop literacy skills and allow students to become productive, responsible citizens in a rapidly changing world of technology. Thank you!
