I am a teacher today because I LOVED school. It was fun for me to see the results of my studying, thinking, and hard work. My students have more
challenges than I did. They have language barriers, economic barriers, and sometimes feel like giving up. I am a high-energy teacher who acts like their math coach. I want them to believe they can win at math and in life. I’m teaching them with a mix of new math and old-school techniques that worked for me. Calculators are used in most testing now, and students need to be confident that they work and know how to use them. I promise that we will use the calculators to verify that we are strong in math skills and ready for any test!
