Privacy shields help to remove distractions and keep students focused on their work or a single task. They are great for the students to use in the classroom during independent reading time, writer's workshop, while taking their spelling and math tests or when just needing a quiet space to finish an assignment. The privacy partitions that I selected are a kid friendly color, laminated and good quality. Currently, during test time, the students have to separate their desks, which become very loud and chaotic. The desks can be heavy to move for kindergarten and first graders in addition to trying to space themselves out so that they are not too close to one another. During independent reading, the students spread themselves out around the room in search for a quiet space. With the privacy partitions, you just place (unfold) the partitions on a desk or table and you instantly create a distraction-free environment for tests, reading and more. No need for noisy heavy lifting anymore!
I want to keep my students as focused as possible and the privacy partition helps them from getting distracted and talking to their neighbors!
These partitions are great not only for test taking but also for giving my students some separation while writing or working independently at their tables. It helps them avoid what could be distractions and gives them a sense that they are in their own room. They also make a fun way of setting up “offices” for students. Private time helps kids learn how to work and study independently and these partitions make this possible in virtually any learning environment.
