Our Pre-K classroom uses music to improve a variety of Pre-Kindergarten skill and special needs in our classroom such as motor skills, sensory needs, expressive and receptive language, and many more. An IPod gives me the ability to create playlists to support specific learning goals for the 2 separate classes as well as individual goals. Simple songs, like the Handwriting without Tears CD's, help to improve listening and language skills. Uploading classroom music to an IPod saves valuable teaching time throughout the day by allowing easy access to songs and allows me to change songs without wasting valuable teaching moments.
