My students are cognitively impaired middle schoolers who function between the ages of 1-4 years old. We use a functional curriculum which provides both educational and life skills that the students can use post- high school.
90% of my students are on the free lunch program. My classroom is housed in a public school in Streamwood, IL where 61% of the school is on free or reduced lunch. 70% of my students have limited English proficiency; overall, the school population has 20% limited English proficiency. The district per pupil spending is less than the state average. Currently, my classroom budget is $50, which is why I need your help!
