In my class I will have over 100 middle school students from low income families. My school is a Title 1 school where most of the students are on free or reduced price lunch plans and are labeled as low performing students. The school does not have an ample amount of reliable technology. However, even with the odds against them, they still have a passion to learn. In middle school most of these students scored below grade level on the FSA. In addition, most of them do not have laptop computers at home or do not know how to use a laptop computer.
