These materials will allow students to experience new ways of expressing themselves and thinking critically about various art processes. These materials open up learning about art making from around the world along with fine art techniques. The use of print making materials will allow students to practice mark making in a dynamic manner. The use of India ink opens up a cultural experience for students, practicing an art making process derived from centuries past. These projects are directly aligned with California State Standards as well specific to what each grade level is learning in their classrooms. The experience these students will have in art will expand their academic learning to a dynamic hands-on level, allowing them to fully understand and internalize.
