My students will learn by doing in this hands-on project. Students will create works of art by screen printing on various mediums such as paper, fabric, and even on the walls in the form of a mural!
As they experience screen printing, first hand, they will be learning the history of the art, how it was used during the Pop Art movement of the 1960s with artists such as Andy Warhol, and how screen printing is evolving in today's art world with artists like Dan Mather and Ben Rider.
One of the coolest parts of this project is that it can be done multiple times over, from Art I through Advanced Placement Art!
