Our students will constantly reaffirm for themselves, "I am a work of art. I can heal, I can survive, I can teach, with my art. I am a work of art." This year our young students will learn the power of seeing themselves as artists who can use their unique talents to make art, not just for art's sake, but to teach others about their reality, to express and to heal themselves and to honor and challenge their communities to recognize beauty and seek truth.
With these folders, students will be able to organize their work over the course of the year into true Artist portfolios. Preserving and organizing their work will allow them to value each creation, to see their progress over time, and to share their work with the community during the art shows they will help to organize.
Each student in Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade will receive their own folder and sheet protectors to organize and protect their artwork.
