Hi Y'all!
I am teacher in a Title 1 school district. During the 2015-2016 school year I will be transitioning from teaching 5th grade into kindergarten. It's a dream come true! I have taught the middle school grades since graduating from Illinois State University in 2011. I have always wanted to work with the younger elementary students though. With our district transitioning from grade level centers to k-5 buildings, I had to opportunity to move grade levels.
I am an easy going, laid back teacher to encourages self discovery and self guided learning of all my students. With students from a low socioeconomic background, I strive to provide each child a safe, welcoming environment to learn. I promise to each and every student the opportunity, guidance, and encouragement to grow socially and academically.
