I have a small kindergarten class with 19 students which allows for more time to master standards. We are at a small school that allows flexibility with our teaching styles. All students in primary grades need to be exposed to academics as well as life skills. I am excited to see what this year has in store for this sweet class!
With the small class size, we are able to complete our lessons in less time which leaves us with extra time for hands on activities to extend our lessons. Kindergarten students need hands on manipulatives to help learn skills, concrete examples are key at this age. The more materials we have in the classroom the better!
