My special education students have been designing, making and distributing t-shirts for our choir and drama clubs. We have been using my personal cricut cutting machine and heat press from home. Allowing us to invest in our own for the classroom would be a huge opportunity. We could have something that would be in the classroom 24/7 and always here when needed. We also vinyl signs for our athletic department. The students begin by designing on a computer program then cutting the design with the cricut. We use the heat press to adhere the design to the t-shirt. We also use the cricut for classroom decor, flashcards, senior memory books, cards for nursing home and teachers, banners, bulletin boards and doors. It has been so useful and lets the students dive into technology.
