At Otsego Middle School, we do more than just teach core subjects; we build character. As a "Capturing Kids’ Hearts" National Showcase School, we prioritize relationships, empathy, and respect. Our school lives by the "Jennings Rule"—that no child should ever be made to feel humiliated—and our district motto is to "Expect Excellence" in everything we do. To truly live out these values, our library needs to reflect the diverse, complex world our students live in. We are seeking to expand our collection with 2025 releases that spark empathy and connection, ensuring that when we ask our 6th–8th graders to "Expect Excellence," we are backing that up with an excellent, modern selection of books.
