I believe that my students will remain more engaged, relaxed, and happier in our classroom environment with a variety of seat choices versus a more traditional classroom setting where they are told where and how to sit for 7 hours of their day. My students have many, many needs, so why shouldn't they have many, many seat choices? Most of the children in my class love to wiggle while they work (cue "Whistle While You Work" from Snow White); I want them to have every opportunity to remain focused while they are becoming better mathematicians, scientists, readers, and authors. Wobble seats and seat cushions move as the child moves, which will allow them to let out their energy while staying engaged in their current task. This will change my students' lives, especially my students with ADD/ADHD and Special Needs, for the better because they will feel success at an early age while having fun learning!
