Since my students are English language learners, using quality literature will rise their level of understanding and vocabulary as well as encourage their enjoyment of reading! Matilda is an amazing story that will gather their interest and engagement. This is not only one of my favorites but the favorites of SO many people! Roald Dahl is an amazing author and I would love to give my students the experience of his creative work. We will also use the story to connect with everyday life and learn the elements of the work as well. Quality literature will encourage the enjoyment of reading as well as develop their English language skills for the future.

About my class
