My students need highlighters, pencils, dry erase markers in order to keep organized in AVID. AVID students focus on organizing their binders for each class. They are required to have highlighters to mark the text as they are interacting with text. They also need pencils to take notes, and they must have at least two in their pencil pouch.
AVID students have tutorials weekly to get help understand their subjects. They use whiteboards to present their questions and the group helps them process through their questions. Once the tutorial is over they need to highlight their new learning or to go back to the teacher to show their confusion. Supplies are crucial to this program.
