My students are constantly up and moving around the classroom, and Sit Spots will make it easier for them to do that. We currently have a big, old, dirty carpet that takes up a lot of space, and that many of my students are constantly tripping over. It is important that students are brought together to an area of the classroom that is safe but also allows them room to move around and feel comfortable. Carpet time is very important in my class, it is my students' safe space where they are able to participate, share their thoughts and ideas, and also respond to one another.
Sit Spots will help to create a safer learning environment for my students, and also give each one of them a space in the classroom that they will be able to call their own.
These Sit Spots will be extremely beneficial when it comes to offering flexibility for my students, based on their needs. They can also be easily adjusted to the number of students in my class each year.
