The materials that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The large carpet will be placed in the back of the classroom and used as a gathering place during mini-lessons, share time and independent reading. The "camping" chair will be used as part of my flexible seating option, where students can choose where to sit during independent classwork and reading time to maximize their motivation, engagement and comfort! Who doesn't love to be comfortable while building stamina in reading and writing!
The donations for this project will also help build the foundation for morning meetings, writing workshop and small and whole group instruction for reading, writing and math with the use of an easel.
This is the first classroom I have been in that does not have an easel. I have always used an easel to hold anchor charts, supplies, teaching tools, and guide morning meetings and instruction. By having these materials and teaching tools in the classroom, I believe I can reach student's full learning potentials. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thank you so much!
