My classroom is one where students feel welcomed, comfortable, and well loved. My students know they can come to me with any of their needs and I will help them with whatever they need. We form strong, long-lasting relationships, with many of my previous students still reaching out to me. One of my proudest moments is when I see my students feel safe and comfortable enough with me, that they bring their friends (who are not my students) to get things they need. Creating this environment in my classroom, where students know they are taken care of, while also maintaining a high level of expectations in their education, is exactly why I got into teaching.
