Kindergarten students are always on the move. Why not allow them to move while learning? Research shows that many students need movement in order to learn. Through this project, students will be able to move and learn all at the same time. Using a variety of seating will allow for students to have options that will allow them to take ownership of their learning.
Student engagement is important to learning. When engaged, students are more likely to retain what they are learning. Allowing students to have a choice in their seating will allow them to take ownership of their learning. With this ownership comes engagement and with student engagement comes learning.
