In our classroom we use chart paper to make anchor charts, circle maps, graphs, and anything else the students need to be able to refer back to. Currently, we do not have a good place to create these charts, and it is difficult for all students to see well and interact with the lesson.
Having an easel with a chart holder, magnetic white board, and storage will greatly improve the students' ability to see and be engaged in lessons.
By getting the information closer to the students, they will see the information better and be able to participate more frequently in the lessons by helping to write or draw the charts. This could also serve as a station during math and reading time or be used during small groups. The students would be able to use magnets on the board or write on it. They could also use a pocket chart on the backside of the easel during station times.
