Interactive Notebooks give students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of literacy through art. Fundamental skills, such as summarizing and reading comprehension checks, are assessed with illustrations that accompany smaller written components. My students love this method of learning and need art supplies that will last all year. Many of my students are on IEPs/504s and interactive notebooks allow them to be successful, therefore increasing their self-esteem. These notebooks make learning fun for my students and they get excited to 'show what they know!'
