Each of our students receives a free breakfast from the school. However, by the time lunch rolls around our students are incredibly hungry. As many people know, when you are this hungry you can not focus on anything. Unfortunately, about half way through the morning our students are moving their focus from the lesson to food.
By providing a snack to our students each day we can ensure that they are not going hungry under our care, as well as maintain their focus and in turn continue their learning. I have tried to reach out to local grocery stores to provide my students with snacks, but they are unable to donate to us at this time. This large amount of snacks should be enough to sustain our classroom for the majority of the school year and in turn greatly help our students.
