Every student at Oak Glen Middle School has the option to select band, choir, or general music for their music requirement. Students enrolled in general music will benefit from the same, high quality music education that band and choir students receive, which includes, but is not limited to, instrumental instruction. With a piano lab, each student will have his or her own instrument to play, allowing for independent practice time at an individual pace. Allowing children to practice on their own instrument will alleviate any potential performance anxiety that may occur from students hearing one another when sharing a piano.
