My students are inquisitive and enjoy learning new and unusual information. They are always exploring ways to differentiate themselves from the people around them. When they first began learning that "words" are puzzles and have sometimes been combined from ancient term to express modern concepts and inventions, they are surprised. When they learned that "telephone" was a combination of ancient Greek words, they were thrilled by the concept and wanted to learn more "old" words. The Internet has endless information that we can project directly into our classroom. The use of internet information diminishes the dependency on extensive materials outside of our text.
Mythology and Roman history have help brighten the lamp of learning for other academic subjects . The students understand all their subjects have history that can make learning very interesting.
