This is my second year at Brookwood, and I absolutely love it! My school is a high poverty school in a rural mining area, and many of our families were greatly impacted in the last year or so by the closing of the mines.
I teach reading, math, science and social studies to 25 students. Technology helps engage my students in their own learning. Most of my students only have access to technology at school, and even then, they have to share two IPads between twenty students. I typically try to do much group work, and research projects, but my students also use our classroom IPads for assessments, in class games such as Kahoot! and Prodigy, and searching for their next great novel.
