This project will allow for students to perform as a supportive and engaged, classroom community. Having a meeting area with a carpet (to seat ALL students) and organizational charts will provide an area with visual support and comfort for learning.
This meeting area allows students to collaborate with one another as a classroom community. Students will have the opportunity to participate in morning meeting, mini lessons, read-alouds, readers/writers workshops, and academic games! Students can also share experiences and personal work in order to enhance their academic confidence. Currently, our classroom does not have a carpet area or an alternate area for seating for classroom meetings. We desperately need this comforting area to create a wonderful heart to our classroom!
