Our K-8 school is a place where kids love to learn! We incorporate Project-Based Learning as well as researched best practices to teach to all different multiple intelligences. Students learn to respect their differences and to work to their personal best abilities. Each year we choose a new school-wide theme which we incorporate into our character education program, as well as into the Common Core State Standards. This year our theme is, "Got GRIT!" As our class acronym, G=Goals, R=Resilience, I=Integrity, and T=Tenacity. Through this theme students will learn what it means to persevere, to try numerous methods and strategies for solving problems, and to use their "Grit" to develop a growth mindset and to achieve their personal best.
