Mr. Perkins is the Director of Choirs at Riverside University High School in the Milwaukee Public School System. He teaches three sections of choir, two sections of keyboard, is starting a student led DJ club, and conducts the spring musical.

Trained in the Orff-Schulwerk and Gordon's Music Learning Theory, Mr. Perkins strives to blend traditional and time-tested methods while adding in music ideas and sounds that are part of our student's cultures.

Mr. Perkins has been teaching for 7 years. His first position was teaching Music Technology at Strawberry Mansion High School in Philadelphia, PA. He taught in Cudahy from 2022-20024, and has been in MPS since Sept. 2024.
