My students love race cars, trucks etc. This project will allow them to see the importance friction, gravity and mass play on racing a car or truck. Currently they use a 12" board, which works, but they have to work in a group since I don't have enough supplies. I have great pictures from last year, however, they were too small to upload. Working on their own will allow each student to design a car that wins a race! Students are naturally inquisitive and helpful, so even if they have their own car to design, they will be working on it at school thereby working with their classmates. When the cars are designed, we will use a local scout groups track to race the cars. We will have awards for who comes in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, but also for some creativity and aerodynamic designs as well. It will be a really fun day!!!
