I have created intervention groups called WIN or what I need for all students in grades 6-12. Students were either placed in a math or literacy group based on their specific needs. They will receive instruction at their level to help them grow in order to close the opportunity gap. In addition to the academic side of learning, I would like to give students the opportunity 1 day per week to interact with their peers by playing an educational game.
I would like students to interact with their peers face-to-face rather than relying on screen time to learn. I have requested these games to fit both needs. Students will have the choice of games to play in their literacy and math WIN classes. Teachers will be able to share games throughout the week so that all students have access to this fun way to learn and retain information.
